An inflatable wing, a board and a foil
Wingfoiling uses a hand-held inflatable wing — no bars or fixed lines like in kitesurfing — to drive a board fitted with a submerged foil, which lifts the board above the water at speed. The result is a friction-free glide, quite different from traditional kitesurfing.
Since it doesn't rely on rigging and launching a kite, many people find wingfoil easier on the first try, even though balancing on the foil has its own learning curve.
Lessons with boat support
