From December 26, 2026 to January 2, 2027, Mareh returns to Fortim with a beach bar in Pontal de Maceió, open-bar boats leaving from Canto da Barra and two parties, on December 28 and 31. Below is the day-by-day schedule and what you need to know to plan your trip.

Day by day
Every day there is the Beach Bar in Pontal de Maceió, with yoga in the morning, food on the raft in the afternoon, and music. Boats and parties are separate.

Near the boats or near the bar?
The festival happens in two parts of Fortim. The Beach Bar is in Pontal de Maceió. The boats leave from Canto da Barra, the main beach of Barra do Fortim. The two are about 3 km apart.
If you want the boats and the main beach within walking distance, stay in the Barra. Barra Beach House, for example, is 300 m from Canto da Barra, with chalets for 2 to 6 people, a pool and a full kitchen: easy to share with the group of friends coming for the festival.

20 years of festival and another New Year in Fortim
Mareh turns 20 with this edition. It started on Boipeba Island, in Bahia, and has celebrated New Year in São Miguel dos Milagres (AL), Barra Grande (PI), Cumuruxatiba (BA), Atins (MA), Praia do Saco (SE) and Vila do Arpoador (MA).
Fortim hosted the festival at the turn of 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2025/26, according to Mareh's listings on Resident Advisor. The 2026/27 edition is a return to the town.
